Roanoke Area Ministries depends on the generosity of community and corporate donors as well as individuals. With today’s volatile economy, it is getting increasingly more difficult for low income individuals to survive. Your gift will go a long way toward ensuring that we are able to continue our work at RAM. Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Give by Mail
    Please send a check or money order to Roanoke Area Ministries (RAM) 824 Campbell Avenue, SW Roanoke, VA 24016
  • Gifts of Stock
    RAM gratefully accepts gifts of stocks and bonds. Donations of appreciated securities can mean significant tax savings to the donor. To make a gift of stock ask your bank or broker to contact RAM directly at (540) 345-8850 and we will make the appropriate arrangements.
  • Gifts in Honor of or Memory of
    Gifts can be given in honor of a special occasion, such as an anniversary or a birthday, or to mark a loved one’s passing. You can make a gift in honor or memoriam at any time, or may choose to ask that gifts for such an occasion be directed to RAM. An acknowledgment announcing your gift will be sent to the appropriate party without mentioning the amount of your donation.
  • Employer Matching Gift
    Many companies and corporations match individual employee gifts to the charity of your choice. Talk to your Human Resources or Personnel Director about a matching gift program.
  • Workplace Giving
    Your support is so important to the work RAM does every day. An easy way to make a big impact on the lives of the men, women and families we serve is through your workplace giving campaign. If your employer has a payroll deduction program, like United Way or the Combined Federal Campaign, consider designating your pre-taxed gift to Roanoke Area Ministries.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance
    If you own a life insurance policy that is no longer needed, consider it as the perfect vehicle to help RAM. Just name RAM as the beneficiary. If the policy has a cash value, you can take a charitable deduction equal to the cash value at the time of the gift. In addition, if annual premiums are still to be made and you continue to pay them, those premiums will become tax deductible each year.   • Insurance Arbitrage
    A way to make a major gift to RAM at little or no cost to you. See your attorney for more information.
  • Bequests
    We hope you will consider a charitable bequest in your will to benefit RAM. Please see your attorney or other professional advisor for more information.
